Attachment types
The attachment type assigns a document to its business context – attachments on a business partner, an item or a document, for example. It controls which SAP object a document appears on and in which order the types are offered.
What is this for?
- Group documents by business context.
- Define which types are available per SAP object.
- Determine the order in the selection.

How to set it up
- Review the delivered attachment types and deactivate those not needed.
- Add your own types where required and assign them to the matching SAP object.
- Control the sort order in the selection via order.
