Document links

The document link is the heart of ECM-Connect: it defines which SAP object is connected to which document type in which repository – and how a document gets there. Without such a link ECM-Connect does not know where a document belongs.

What is this for?

• Connect SAP object, document type and repository.
• Define how filing happens: automatically, by drag and drop or via barcode.
• Set retention times and permitted file extensions.

How to set it up

1. Create a record and select SAP object, document type and repository.
2. Define how documents arrive: auto archive, drag'n'drop and/or scan client.
3. When working with barcodes, set auto barcode, must barcode and multi barcode accordingly.
4. Enter permitted file types under file extension and the retention period under retention time.
5. Set the record active.
