Configuration

While the ECM settings describe the foundation, the configurations define what actually happens day to day: which document is filed where, how it is indexed, checked and posted.

What is this for?

• Document links – the core: connect SAP object, document type and repository.
• Index and master data – populate archive fields from SAP.
• ECM mapping – map document data onto SAP fields.
• Booking rules – how postings are made.
• Document creation and document status – create documents and track their state.
• Email accounts – take documents from mailboxes.

How to set it up

1. Start with the document link – nothing else takes effect without it.
2. Then set up index and master data for the indexing.
3. Only afterwards add mapping, booking rules and the remaining areas.
